The task includes the conception, integration, programming, testing, and commissioning of autonomous underground vehicles. Based on existing solutions and new technology parts, a flexible automation platform has to be developed and put into operation. This is done in international cooperation with our partners in Germany, South Africa, Canada, and Chile.
Tasks:
- System design of autonomous vehicles and integration of already existing modules.
- Safety regulations and standards compliance
- Development of interfaces and communication protocols between system modules
- Adaptation of different automation solutions, depending on customer application
- Testing of the overall systems on the proving ground and underground
- Close and virtual cooperation with our international development partners
Skills:
- Conceptual system development and its documentation
- Software development experience with ASM / C / C++ as well as PC and mobile versions of UIs(experience with ROS and / or CoDeSys is an advantage)
- Technical understanding of vehicle technology (e.g. electrics, sensors, hydraulics, drive systems)
- Solution-oriented approach, analytical skills and strong communication skills
- High-quality awareness, independent working style and ability to work in a team in interdisciplinary work groups
- Fluent in technical English and German
Education & Experience:
- University degree in software and systems development, ideally with a focus on automation / robotics.
- Experience in robotics and / or automation projects
- Experience with communication protocols (e.g. CAN-Bus)
- Prototype development experience
- Underground mining experience is helpful
Other:
- National and international travel to customer projects will be required.
