The neroEOL (End Of Line) is used to prevent spurious radio frequency reflections presenting themselves within the cable.
These unwanted reflections weaken the intended signals and drastically affect the radiation shape emanating from the cable.
It terminates the radio signal in the characteristic impedance of the radiating cable but does not present any current load to the system and is thus used at the end of a cable run that is not intended to be extended.
