Latin America is a key global mining region, where operators are increasingly adopting automation and digital technologies to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and safety. Turning these technologies into practical solutions requires not only technical capability, but also a strong understanding of local mining operations.
To support this transition, Nerospec SK has established a partnership with REDTEC Technology, part of REDCO Mining Consultants, to expand mining automation and fleet data monitoring solutions across Latin America.
The collaboration combines Nerospec SK’s technology portfolio with REDCO’s established regional network, strengthening access to mining automation solutions and local technical support.
“Our partnership with REDCO brings our agnostic mining automation solutions closer to the Latin American market. By combining our technology with REDCO’s local mining industry network, we can now provide strong local service to our customers,” said
Dr. Eric Pohlmann, CEO of Nerospec SK.
REDCO brings 20 years of mining consulting and engineering experience, with more than 500 studies and projects executed and a presence in Chile, Peru, Brazil and the United States. Its expertise spans mining engineering, strategic planning, operational consulting and mine system simulation, providing a strong regional and technical foundation for the collaboration.
Together, Nerospec SK and REDTEC will focus on two key areas:
Mining Automation
Custom, retrofit-ready automation solutions designed for real-world mining environments. Nerospec SK’s technologies support fully autonomous underground operations, helping improve equipment productivity, operational consistency and safety.
Fleet Data Monitoring
Solutions that transform machine data into actionable insights, giving mining operators greater visibility into equipment performance and utilization while supporting maintenance planning and operational decision-making.
Combining Mining Expertise with Technology
The partnership brings together Nerospec SK’s automation and fleet monitoring technologies with REDCO and REDTEC’s mining engineering expertise and regional presence.
With experience supporting operational, tactical and strategic decision-making and a strong focus on technology integration, REDCO provides valuable knowledge of the mining environments in which these technologies will be applied.
“This partnership with Nerospec SK marks another step in REDTEC’s strategy to bring high-impact technologies into our portfolio, strengthening REDCO’s engineering and consulting capabilities. We aim to turn this collaboration into practical solutions that address the challenges facing the mining industry in Latin America and create value for our clients,” said
Enrique Rubio, CEO of REDCO.
Through this collaboration, Nerospec SK and REDTEC aim to support mining operations across Latin America with practical technologies designed to drive productivity and advance automation.
