South Deep adding Nerospec neroHUB EMERST Level 9 collision avoidance technology

Gold Fields’ South Deep gold mine is in South Africa. As part of an ongoing project with our sister Nerospec Group company, Nerospec OSCON, which is based in Bromhof, Randburg, the mine is continually working to improve its EMESRT Level 9 collision avoidance capability. This refers to technologies that intervene in terms of automated machine control in order to prevent or mitigate an unsafe interaction.
